Answer: If you want to know if the PictureToString functions will work, you may try this function:
Example:

Notes:
It should work like this for other types like:
"tiff" -> TIFF
"PNTG" -> Mac Paint
"gif " -> GIF
"WRLE" -> Windows BMP
"tga " -> Targa
"png " -> PNG
etc.
