Answer: use CFHostMBS class (Mac OS X only).
Example: 
dim n as new MyCFHostMBS

n.LookupName("www.monkeybreadsoftware.de")

// will fire event GotAddress in the MyCFHostMBS class which must be a subclass of CFHostMBS.
